Sue Gerhardt en su libro <em>El amor maternal, la influencia del afecto en el cerebro y las emociones del beb\u00e9<\/em>, muchas personas no experimentan el tipo de infancia que proporciona la base para una confianza b\u00e1sica al enfrentarse al mundo y relacionarse con otras personas. Sus primeras experiencias relacionales suelen ser con figuras de cuidado que tuvieron dificultades para sintonizar y responder adecuadamente a sus necesidades, contribuyendo de manera no intencionada a generar v\u00ednculos de apego inseguros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esto suele ser resultado de la transmisi\u00f3n intergeneracional de dificultades en la regulaci\u00f3n emocional, que en casos m\u00e1s extremos puede estar vinculada a traumas transgeneracionales. Estas experiencias conducen a un profundo sentimiento de falta de val\u00eda personal. Sin sistemas emocionales bien desarrollados, se vuelve complicado relacionarse con flexibilidad con otras personas. Muchas veces, las personas oscilan entre extremos: evitar la dependencia por completo o depender excesivamente de los dem\u00e1s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La paradoja es que, antes de poder autorregularnos y alcanzar la independencia\u2014o mejor dicho, la interdependencia\u2014primero debemos experimentar una dependencia satisfactoria. Sin embargo, esta idea a menudo parece contradictoria para las personas adultas, quienes pueden responder a la inseguridad con actitudes punitivas, como si la madurez y la autorregulaci\u00f3n fueran simplemente una cuesti\u00f3n de fuerza de voluntad. En palabras de Laura Perls, la clave para una relaci\u00f3n (terap\u00e9utica) saludable es \u201cdar tanto apoyo como sea necesario y tan poco como sea posible\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El trabajo terap\u00e9utico en respuesta a estas dificultades implica reconstruir los caminos que han llevado a la falta de autoestima. Esta reconstrucci\u00f3n facilita la co-creaci\u00f3n de nuevas experiencias relacionales en el contexto terap\u00e9utico, que posteriormente pueden extenderse al entorno m\u00e1s amplio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p>A lo largo de este proceso, la verg\u00fcenza suele surgir como una presencia persistente. Para abordarla con autocompasi\u00f3n, es importante comprender primero que la verg\u00fcenza es una respuesta normal. Es la manera en que el cerebro enfrenta la amenaza de desconexi\u00f3n, ya sea por abandono o aislamiento. Reconocer la verg\u00fcenza como una emoci\u00f3n y ponerle un nombre puede ayudar a crear cierta distancia entre el sentimiento y nuestra propia experiencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al reemplazar el juicio con curiosidad, podemos comenzar a fomentar una perspectiva m\u00e1s comprensiva y compasiva. Ser conscientes del papel de nuestra voz cr\u00edtica interna tambi\u00e9n es esencial, ya que esta a menudo amplifica la verg\u00fcenza. Recordar que somos obras en progreso, navegando la vida lo mejor posible, ayuda a disminuir el peso de la autocr\u00edtica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En \u00faltima instancia, practicar la amabilidad hacia nuestra propia persona significa hablarnos como lo har\u00edamos con alguien a quien queremos profundamente. Reflexionar sobre qu\u00e9 acciones podr\u00edan apoyar nuestra recuperaci\u00f3n, en lugar de perpetuar el ciclo de verg\u00fcenza, es un paso constructivo. Si necesitamos corregir algo, ofrecernos una orientaci\u00f3n positiva en lugar de una autocr\u00edtica severa puede marcar una diferencia significativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valorarnos por quienes somos\u2014y no por lo que hacemos o lo que la sociedad actual considera valioso\u2014es un camino desafiante y, a menudo, agotador. Sin embargo, es una tarea vital si deseamos generar un cambio significativo en la forma en que nos tratamos y nos relacionamos con el mundo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
