To help you understand how the therapeutic process unfolds, I outline below the practical steps on one hand, and on the other, how my therapeutic style intertwines with the diverse human experiences that come to my practice.

Free introduction

The first step is to request a free initial meeting. Click here, and you’ll be directed to the calendar where you can schedule an introductory video call. During this meeting, you’ll have the opportunity to share your initial concerns and assess whether my approach aligns with your needs.

With a clearer understanding of your situation, I will also determine whether the support I can offer is suitable or if it would be more beneficial to refer you to a different level of psychological care.

It’s worth noting that such a referral may also occur during the intake phase, once I have had the chance to evaluate your case in greater detail.

Your portal

If during our initial meeting it becomes clear that I am the right professional to address your request for psychological support, I will ask for some details to send you an email with the credentials to access our patient portal. For this, you will need to have a valid ID with you.

Through this portal, we can securely exchange the necessary documents during the different phases of your therapeutic process, starting with the intake form. This form is individual, even for couples therapy, as my approach emphasizes addressing personal difficulties that arise within the relationship.

In the case of couples therapy, it is important for both individuals to assess how they feel about working with me. Therefore, I will require both parties to be present during the initial meeting and to complete their own admission forms individually.

Planning your sessions

Through our booking system, you can schedule, pay for, and reschedule your sessions as needed. You will also have access to your appointment history, invoices, and any package or service linked to your profile.

Please note that changes to the scheduled date and time of a session are only free of charge if notified at least one working day in advance, regardless of the reason for missing the appointment. On the other hand, switching between in-person and online sessions is possible up until the same day of the session.

If you need to cancel a session, as long as it does not represent a complete interruption of your treatment, it is advisable to reschedule it for a future date, even if you are not yet certain it will be final. This helps avoid unnecessary banking transactions.

Intake phase

Our initial contacts are part of what we refer to as the intake phase.

During this phase, in addition to identifying the issues that brought you to therapy, we will review relevant biographical aspects to understand the context we are working within and assess the situation to define the initial course of action.

The phase will conclude with the proposal of a treatment agreement, which will be reviewed throughout the therapeutic process as circumstances require.

In this proposal, we will establish the frequency of sessions as well as the most appropriate therapeutic approach and tools to begin with. The terms and conditions of the practice will also be part of this agreement, and it is essential that you are familiar with them before starting our therapeutic relationship.

Co-creating your path

It is also important to include moments of evaluation throughout our journey to ensure that we make the necessary adjustments to align with the circumstances of each moment.

To support this, I encourage the use of our self-reflection form between sessions. Additionally, I will provide you with the opportunity to monitor your perceived well-being and our therapeutic alliance through specially designed questionnaires.

Finally, as part of our farewell stage, we will assess your satisfaction with the overall process.
