My practice is aimed at the adult population and is specialized in the reality that surrounds expats (people who reside outside their country of birth) and the intercultural relationships that are formed as part of these experiences of movement around the world.
The psychological support offered in my practice covers a great diversity of human experiences, among which the following stand out:

• Relationship problems (including separation)

If your complaints are recurring and complex, where previous help has proven insufficient and/or they are so serious that a multidisciplinary treatment is desirable, I recommend specialist care centers.
This is often necessary when there is (a combination of) serious addiction and/or eating problems, psychotic symptoms, severe suicidality, complex system problems, intellectual disability, or development problems. Your GP will be able to advise you in this case and refer you to the appropriate care.
Likewise, if your interest in my services requires the formalization of a diagnosis, my recommendation is to go to professionals who have more accurate assessment tools. The evaluation performed in my office has as its sole focus the orientation of the therapeutic process, but forensic psychologists, psychiatrists and/or specialized clinical psychologists can help you if what you need involves official diagnoses and / or evaluation reports for other instances.

Psychology within Reach does not have a crisis service. In the event of a crisis, please contact your General Practitioner, your local emergency room, or the “huisartsenposten” in the Netherlands (outside office hours).
The waiting time for intake of new cases varies but it can be easily checked through the First Contact section .
Finally, it is important to say that I may not always be available, for example, if I am on vacation or sick leave. In such cases, I promptly inform my patients and my colleague Melania Zampieri, Clinical Psychologist at Your Peace Of Mind, supports me to ensure availability of care.
Our sessions can take place either online or at my office in Utrecht, following the hygienic measures for meetings in person. In either case, you will always have the possibility to change from a face-to-face appointment to an online one up to the day of the session.
Regarding the way to my office, this will take you around 10 minutes from Utrecht city center if you come by car (there is plenty of free parking in this area). The building is within walking distance from both train stations Utrecht Leidsche Rijn and Utrecht Terwijde. It is also reachable by bus (lines 4, 10, 11, 15, 18, 28, 37, 48) and by bike (around 20 minutes ride from the city center). With me you can receive online therapy, both individually and as a couple, to achieve the best possible “contact” when physical presence is not a viable alternative.
To provide the video call service, I only use programs that guarantee the encryption of the communication maintained. These tools work from the usual web browser.
The access link to each meeting is sent by email before the session.
All fees and costs for the services provided at Psychology within Reach are VAT exempt thanks to the nature of these services (health care provided by clinic) and the characteristics of our practice (according to KOR regulations in The Netherlands).
From January 1, 2025, and until further notice our rates are:
50′ consultation = € 100
75′ consultation = € 150.
Group therapy session (90’) = € 40 p.p.
Overtime (in-session or off-session) = € 30 (per 15′)
Changes from in-person to online are always possible, while date and time changes as well as cancellations are only possible free of charge with one business day’s notice. If this minimum notice is not respected, the entire consultation will be billed regardless of the cause that prevented attendance.
Since cancellations that observe this advance notice result in a refund, it is expected that this option will be used only when continuity in the therapeutic process is not foreseen, in such a way that additional banking costs are prevented.
Please note that my practice is not covered by the Dutch insurance system, but is usually covered by international insurers. Psychology within Reach works independently, without a contract with any particular insurer, and is not responsible for any reimbursement from your insurance company.
Through our booking process you will be expected to fully pay your sessions as you plan them. We use Stripe as a secure payment gateway, which supports most debit and credit cards as well as iDEAL.
To avoid unnecessary financial transactions, we recommend that you preferably use the rescheduling option and leave the cancellation to the time when you have decided to terminate your treatment.
At the time of booking your session, you will receive a payment receipt.
In order to offer you quality health care, not only do I maintain a strong commitment to my continuing education, but I am privileged to have the regular clinical supervision of Dr. Gianni Francesetti, as psychiatrist and psychotherapist.
Throughout the therapeutic process, all meetings are conducted according to protocols that guarantee safe and hygienic conditions. These protocols will be duly communicated to you when they involve your active participation.
On the other hand, when I encounter professional limitations to attend to the reason that brings a person to therapy or to extend my care when I understand that I can no longer be of support, my commitment is always to look for alternatives so that my patients receive the care they need.
In my practice, I not only fulfill my duty of confidentiality as a health professional, but I consider it of the utmost importance to protect the rights of all those who have placed their trust in me. This has been certified following a recent audit conducted by Visie-tatie in collaboration with NVPA and RBCZ.
To ensure the security of your data it is advisable to keep the exchange of information outside the session to a minimum. Inter-session communications are conducted through secure means and we recommend the use of telephone rather than email.
Also, if we see each other accidentally outside of the therapy office, I will not acknowledge you first. Your right to privacy and confidentiality is of the utmost importance to me, and I do not wish to jeopardize it. However, if you acknowledge me first, I will be more than happy to speak briefly with you, but feel it appropriate not to engage in any lengthy discussions in public or outside of the therapy office.
To ensure the well-being of my patients, in a broader sense, I am registered with the Dutch Psychological Association, the Spanish Psychological Association and ACCESS’ Counselling Service Network. Likewise, I am a member of the AETG and the EAGT, Spanish and European associations respectively of Gestalt therapy.
The Codes of Ethics of these organizations have the dual purpose of setting standards of conduct in the professional practice of psychology, as well as informing and protecting the rights of those who seek these services.
I am as open to receiving compliments as I am to accepting suggestions and complaints when your expectations are not met. The complaint procedure would start by letting me know about the area in which I haven’t met your expectations. If I cannot provide you with a satisfactory solution, you can submit a complaint online to Klacht&Company via nip@klachtencompany.nl or through their complaints form.
